Remote User Mobile Live Webcams

These live webcams are on a mobile station and may be positioned to provide live video of any piece of equipment in the lab including gauges, reaction chambers, or display screens. They can also be used to provide live video of anything going on in the cleanroom or measurement room, such as a collegue or technician processing your wafers or giving a lab tour. Images displayed may be within a second or two of the actual event depending on the connection speed used (even faster for the Sony Network Cam - Camera 9). No media players are needed; however, Java must be enabled on your browser. High resolution still images are obtained using Semicaps software and can be downloaded at the Image Download Page. To use these web tools, contact Mike Deal.

Sony DV-TRV17 camcorder

Portable video platform

Camera 1 is a Sony DV-TRV17 and provides a clear picture with good low light capabilities. It can be used to capture video displays on equipment or any live cleanroom or measurement room images. The video feed is delivered to a laptop PC via a IEEE 1394 (firewire) port. Adjustments may be made to brightness and other parameters by moving to the bottom left of the image and clicking on "iVISTA". In general the defaults should be used.

Camera 2 is a VideoLabs USB Flexcam. It is generally used to display worksheets, graphics and other hardcopy. It can also be used to transmit information much like an online whiteboard, enabling sketches to be transmitted in realtime.

Camera 9 is a Sony SNC-RZ30N network camera. It provides high-speed, high-resolution live video, with viewer-controlled zoom (25X optical) and pan/tilt capabilities. Viewing and/or controlling the image of this camera requires password authorization - see Mike Deal for this. This mobile camera provides outstanding live video and can be used for educational demos as well as any live cleanroom or measurement room images.
