Each private chemical/material container must have a label and barcode (available from Staff member) containing the following information:

• The chemical Storage Group identifier (see: The Stanford Chemical Safety Data Base and the SNF Chemical Storage Groups links);
• The date you received the chemical;
• The Main Hazard; (see: The Stanford Chemical Safety Data Base and the SNF Hazard Classifications links)
• Your last name, first name;
• Your day time telephone number; and
• Your SNF account name.

WARNING: all non-standard chemical containers found in the lab, or in lab storage areas, without this pre-printed label, will be labeled as Hazardous Waste and sent to EH & S for disposal. No questions asked.
