Change to Standard methods and procedures: FE GUN ALIGNMENT in LEO Software Panel

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ACHIEVE THE CORRECT GUN ALIGNMENT:
To ensure proper FE-GUN alignment you must select the new proper SCAN SPEED.

NEW PROCEDURE TO THE CORRECT GUN ALIGNMENT:
Effective June 25, 2003

1. Set Aperture alignment and Stigmation to 0, 0:
    a. Select [SEM CONTROL] then Select [Aperture TAB]
    b. Select [Aperture Align] Set to 0,0.
    c. Select [Stigmation] Set to 0,0.
2. Select [GUN ALIGN] then Select [EMISSION] TO VIEW APERTURE IMAGE.
3. Select [SCANNING] then Select [Scan Speed 9]
4. Select [APERTURE TAB] then Select [GUN ALIGN] then, if necessary, Select [EMISSION] TO VIEW APERTURES.
    ALIGN SELECTED APERTURE BY CENTERING CROSS HAIRS IN CENTER OF APERTURE IMAGE USING X - Y TRANSLATION OF MOUSE WHILE HOLDING LEFT HAND MOUSE BUTTON DOWN.
5.  Select [Aperture Align]   Select check off box [Focus wobble] to wobble focus in and out.
    - ADJUST APERTURE ALIGNMENT USING X - Y TRANSLATION OF MOUSE WHILE HOLDING LEFT HAND MOUSE BUTTON DOWN UNTIL ALL X - Y MOTION IS REMOVED FROM THE IMAGE. (YOU MAY SELECT ANY SCANNING RATE TO PERFORM THIS TASK.)
    - Select check off box [Focus wobble] to stop focus wobble.
6. Select [Stigmation] refocusing as necessary holding down the middle mouse button.
Adjust stigmation using X-Y translation while holding the left hand mouse button down to achieve the clearest edges of the feature being imaged.
7. Select [Focus/Magnification] to return to normal state for imaging.
