FYI:
This problem can happen when somebody flips the switch by accident on the RAITH hardware
(close to the load lock). There's some info in the RAITH frequently asked questions
notebooks lying on the RAITH table on which switch to check if that happens.

I have found that Beam ON/Off in raith malfunctions.
Beam is actually ON when it is "Beam Off" and vice versa.
