Problem afm2 2001-06-28 17:51:00: pin broken on head

Last night the pins were bent but all four were still intact.  This evening
one of the pins was broken off already when I got there.

This is because people "lever" the tip holder off the column.

It causes more problems than just a break, it first bends the pins
so that there is not a solid connection between the tip holder and
the column, ruining the resolution for weeks before the pin eventually
gets broken off.

Push the tip holder straight on and ease it straight off - don't
lever or rock it to get it off.
