We had a similar software crash before;  John Shott fixed it.  1st the computer crashed and came up with a blue screen;  when it did eventually boot up and I ran the AFM program, this is the error that showed up.

I saw this problem before with some of the parameter files being corrupted
during a crash.  The ones I saw that were corrupted were reduced to 0k in
size so this should make it easy to spot them.

I made a backup copy of a working set of parameter files on the computer.
If I recall correctly, the actual program exists on the D: drive.  Again, if
I recall correctly, the backup set is on the C: drive.
