tried both surface and tip reflection, always have engagement problem, no error reported but not focused on surface once engaged, did I miss something?

This is my second time using the AFM since I was trained.  I setup my tip (camera, laser position, laser detection, tip tuning) and when I tried to load my sample so that it was under the tip, the stage did not move toward the tip.  Let me know if I'm missing something.
