stage stepper does not move in +y direction-not responding to trackball had to move the stage manually

Stage gets stuck.  Running it through it's full range gets it working again.

The tip stage is a little loose to the laser holder which results in the tip focus difficult

The tip holder seems to press in to position OK.  It never has had great fit, but it does seem stable when it is all the way on.

Laser came on as expected when the microscope software opened up.  The laser, optical camera, focus,.. were way out of alignment.  I found and focused on my tip realigning the system.
