I do not know how long it will take, but it could be a few weeks. In the past Veeco would provide a loaner scanner to keep their customers working during the repair. It appears this service is no longer available, but I am still trying. Is everyone ready for the system to go down for an extended period of time or should we limp along? Veeco no longer provides loaner scanners, so we will be down hard during the repair. My plan is to shutdown the system next Wed. March 19th, after lunch. I do not know how long the repairs will take, but I expect a few weeks. I will make reservations on Coral for the first couple of days the scanner will be gone and let you know any time estimates Veeco provides to me.
