Subject: [cascade] Problems with lamp holder

Hi all, 

There is a problem with the lamp holder.  The microscope lamp fails to turn on from time to time.  

This is what Jim said with regards to this:
"I suggest until we get a new lamp holder, we put the minimum stress on the lamp holder. By this I mean we run the lamp at lower brightness levels, and we turn the lamp off when we do not need it."
