I would rather have tools shutdown if there's any concern about safety or tool damage. And in fact, this was absolutely the proper response for you and Renata or any other regular user of the CCP. At the very least, it makes our tool stats more accurate. And in this case, a novice rebooting the system could do serious harm. At this time, this is not something that non-superusers should do because if I understand correctly, if this is not done properly, the system can be seriously damaged if it is not in a safe configuration. But Pradeep is a superuser on this tool and so has been trained on system recovery. One of the things that has been discussed has been to allow superusers to clear red shutdowns in certain cases. These would have to be on a tool-by-tool basis and only for specific, fairly routine procedures. This may be one of them. At some point soon, we should have a community meeting of superusers to discuss the superuser role in SNF.
