Stanford's Free Web Services

Ted,

As I mentioned last week, Stanford provides free web services to all members
of the Stanford community.  These services are offered through the Leland
Systems, and are handled by a compute server called www.stanford.edu.  You
can find step by step instructions on how to get started at 
http://www.stanford.edu/leland/  Basically, you place your web pages in
the www directory in your home directory on the Leland Systems.  I think
this is probably the easiest way for staff to create and maintain their
own web pages.
