He started this past Monday in Len's position. I can not create a coral account for him without an e-mail address. If you can't help me, can you please point me in the right direction. Thank you in advance for any help you can give me. Then when you do the new user part, when you say: newuser login_name "Elmer Enriquez" he will automatically be set up with e-mail as login_name at snf.stanford.edu Thanks, John From mtang at snf.stanford.edu Fri Feb 20 11:27:22 2004 From: mtang at snf.stanford.edu (Mary Tang) Date: Fri, 20 Feb 2004 11:27:22 -0800 Subject: LEdit 11 Message-ID: <40365F9A.D6BC36EA@snf.stanford.edu> Hi guys -- Do we have license rights to LEdit v. 11? I don't know whether Mike has received any CDs from them automatically or whether we need to explicitly ask. It does appear, however, that you are currently listed as the technical contact ... which you may or may not be aware of or be happy with. So, it would appear that if we don't automatically get and already have Tanner 11 CDs, that you can initiate a request for them. Based on their previous notifications of new versions, etc., here is the website, login name, and password to see what machines we have and, I think, request an upgrade. Let me know if I can help ... I'll download the upgrade and request the TLU license files. I'll burn a CD and send it around so everyone can upgrade. Mary -- Mary X. (fwd) Message-ID: ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Thu, 26 Feb 2004 10:33:37 -0800 From: Maureen Baran To: mike.bell at stanford.edu, Bill Murray Subject: I need your technical expertise... Dear Mike and Bill, I have two people who are not able to change their password in coral. They can both get into coral with the original password that the system created for them however, they can not successfully change their password. They both get: "Authentication Failure" when trying to get into the next step of creating a new password. One is, our newest employee at SNF - Elmer Enriquez and the other one is a new Industrial User by the name of Jim Kruger. The only common thing between the two of them is that they both have login names longer then 8 characters. Elmer's login is "eenriquez" and Jim's login is "jimkruger". Can this be the problem that is stopping them from being successful in changing their password? Would it just be easier to deactivate their profile in coral and start again with a shorter login name? I would greatly appreciate it if one of you could come over today to my cubicle and show Elmer and myself what we might be doing wrong. Jim the Industrial User is getting pretty frustrated. We need your help. Thank you, Maureen Maureen Baran Lab Services Administrator Nanofabrication Facility 650-725-3664 fax 650-725-6278 mbaran at stanford.edu
