I think you should run the defrag regardless of the report. I noticed one of
the powerpoint presentations he had the other day used high resolution
photos. One slide was about 8 MB. If lots of slides are of this size they
will load slowly. Find out which presentation is running slowly and we can
use that as a test. It might help to get more RAM for the machine, but it
may be tough to come by before next week since you need to use RAM that is
compatible with Dell RAM.
PS What's your office number?

Subject: Nishi's Computer Need Help
Prof. Nishi asked me to contact you regarding his computer. It is
extremely slow and takes lots of time to open powerpoint presentations.
The memory looks ok since there is 10 gigs free out of the 18 available.
I was wondering if you would be at the CIS dinner tonight at the
Sheraton? If so, I will bring it there so you can look at it. I'm
currently analyzing the drive to see if it needs to be defraged.
(It's kind of urgent because he is leaving the country next week and
wants to be able to work from home this weekend.)
Let me know what you think.
Thanks so much!
