John,

I have finally completed a fairly thorough test of the new equipment
enable (logical disable/enable when currently enabled).  It appears to
be working great.  However, we should do another quick test in production
when the equipment server is heavily loaded just to make sure nothing
gets out of order in the update queue.

I'm starting on our proposed firewall solution.
