John and Mike,

The bug struck again this afternoon at 15:05.  The additional logging helped
me to identify another bug which *appears* to be the culprit.  I have
fixed the bug, installed the fix, and restarted the servers.  Now we'll
have to wait for the condition which causes the problem to arise again.
Although I cannot recreate the condition, I believe that I can identify 
the condition when I see it in the logs.   So I should be able to confirm
that I do or don't have it fixed.
