If I have a firewall running--or if I'm off campus (behind a NAT router which I don't control)--I get the following error: Unable to launch Coral Remote (SNF). Details... Category: Download Error. Missing signed entry in resource: http://snf.stanford.edu/coral/lib/xerces.jar Once I've disabled the firewall long enough to run the update, then it seems to work okay behind the firewall again. My firewall does not block outgoing traffic, only incoming traffic. (Why does Coral require incoming connections?) Alternatively, is there any other way to install the latest Coral Remote package other than the self-updater? This is very frustrating. I'm sure there will be a rush for equipment as everyone (including me) tries to get last-minute work done before the fab shuts down for the break, so I'd like to be able to make reservations. If it helps, I get the same response using MacOS 10.2.8 with Java 1.4.1_01, and MacOS 10.3.6 with Java 1.4.2_05, which is, as far as I know, the latest available.
