BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 7, 2006--The Nano Science and Technology
Institute (www.NSTI.org) today announced the Nanotech Ventures program, a
key component of the ninth annual Nanotech event, the largest such
conference in the United States. Nanotech Ventures, featuring
presentations from 63 early stage companies, is the world's largest
nanotech venture and partnering forum. This year's event brings together
top technologists and business minds, matching technology solutions with
industry needs to ultimately fuel innovation. Nanotech Ventures takes
place May 8-9 at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, MA.
"With 63 presenters and an experienced vetting team, this year's event
promises to maintain its standing as the leading catalyst for industry
innovation," said Matthew Laudon, Executive Director for NSTI. "By
bringing together business and technology leaders, we are very optimistic
that the outcome will be significant and vital business partnerships and
developments that in time will greatly impact the world as we know it."
"Breakthroughs within nanotechnology are taking place in virtually all
industries. This pervasiveness makes monitoring the latest nanotech
developments a major challenge," said Doug Jamison, President, Chief
Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Harris & Harris Group.
"Nanotech Ventures brings all parties under one roof, giving each the
chance to share ideas, explore opportunities and potentially form
partnerships that help to spur continued development within the industry."
