I enabled it and put it in standby mode again this time making sure the chamber is pumped down. I think the problem the first time was that the "load complete" light was on. In that case, the machine appears to start pumping down when going into standby mode but eventually vents again. Make sure the "load complete" light is off before entering standby. Ben Chui
