The knobs underneath the stage are very stiff. They are 
are not turning so the sample cannot be aligned. Problem
needs to be corrected.

even after wafer adjustment, the red beam still is off to the side of the slit.

user error, comp was up. I reset the system and measured the testwafer. System runs well as usual
