Employment Experience:
From 5/98 to present owned and operated a home inspection company
in the real estate market in and around the San Francisco bay area.
Completed over 3000 residential and commercial building inspections,
identifying numerous conditions hazardous to persons and property. Duties
included soliciting new clients. Placing these new clients at ease while
showing them what is right and wrong with the property they were purchasing.
The inspection is a 400+ check point process during which the client
was welcome and encouraged to attend. Then writing a report reflecting
the condition of the subject property and following up with the client
to ensure satisfaction. Also, successfully defended my inspection company
against three frivolous lawsuits.
From 5/93 to 5/98 successfully executed the duties of home inspector
for Amerispec, completing training courses and over 2000 residential
and commercial inspections identifying numerous hazardous conditions
including, broken chimneys, improper wiring, gas leaks, and carbon monoxide
hazards.
From 12/91 to 5/93 worked for FTC on Coast Guard Island in Alameda
CA. Duties included installing and maintaining surface search radars
(for units afloat and ashore), HF, VHF and UHF transceivers, microwave
links, sonar and depth sounders, and fog detectors. These Coast Guard
assets were located at different stations inside a rough triangle from
Tahoe City to Pigeon Point in Half Moon Bay and to Bodega Bay. Successfully
identified and repaired a chronic problem with the microwave link between
Point Bonita and Yerba Buena Island.
From 9/90 to 12/91 worked for Condor Reliability as a test technician
and burn in technician. Duties included testing components to various
military standards. Took over a behind schedule project for building
and testing 1200 circuit cards for a Department of Defense contract.
Completed the project one month ahead of schedule.
From 9/84 to 9/90 successfully completed six years service with the
United States Navy as a Firecontrolman. Duties included operating and
maintaining the Nato Seasparrow Surface to Air Missile system. Also
worked on the Mk 15 Close in Weapons System, Mk 86 Gun Fire Control
System, Mk 23 Target Acquisition System. Also received training in hazardous
materials handling and magazine sprinkler systems. During this time,
participated in the testing of the 7P upgrade to the sparrow missile.
Also took over as the training petty officer bringing over thirty records
up to date and establishing a training program for the work group.
Other Experience
Highly experienced operating and maintaining PC’s and networks.
Written two books, one historical fiction and one instruction book
on how to review and residential property.
Built two plywood fiberglass boats, one ten foot row pram and one
fourteen foot motor drift boat.
Coached several soccer teams, from ages under six to under sixteen.
