From dton at santurcorp.com Mon Apr 2 17:52:43 2001 From: dton at santurcorp.com (Dinh Ton) Date: Mon, 2 Apr 2001 17:52:43 -0700 Subject: Target Message-ID: Hi y'all, Today when I used the metalica, I found a target inside the chamber left over from previous user. I placed the target in a plastic bag, labeled it "Unknown", and placed the bag where all the normal targets for the metalica reside. Hope someone know what it's. CIS provides several different materials such as Cr, Ti, and Al. Users are supposed to place an identifying piece of tape on the gun connection when they load a new target. Also, you should usually scribe an identifying mark on the back of the target if it is new. If you use your own target, you should load up the previous CIS target when you remove yours. It is no more work and is considered a courtesy. If you load a different target that is provided by CIS, just leave it loaded with the appropriate label when you are done. Without a scribe mark on the backside, this target is not reliably anything. It should have been scribed the first time it was loaded. If there was no identifying tape on the gun handle, the user who loaded it is at fault. If it was taped, then the current user should have noticed and placed it in an appropriately labeled jacket.. Let's pay a little bit closer attention to detail people. It may even be free a bit earlier. So if you'd like an early start, check for an "empty" sign after about 11AM. I am optomistic that I will catch up and proceed with my shorter runs reserved Fri/Sat, however. Regards, -John
