The order will come in in three weeks. Don't fear we are going to try out our new replacement. It is COPPER MESH. You'll find it in the metal box in a jar. I've also posted a note on the front panel of Metalica. Your welcome to use it. Just make sure the Copper Mesh is laying FLAT. It sometimes likes to fold if you don't handle it gentle. DO NOT USE PASTE WITH THE COPPER MESH!. Here is what the note on Metalica says; August 17, 2007 We will run out of Silver paste before I get the new jar from the vendor, so use sparingly. I have a jar in the metal box with some round COPPER MESH. You can use one for each target. You use this instead of the silver paste (only one or the other). Make sure the Copper Mesh is flat and check that the Copper Mesh isn't unraveling at the edges. If you see a string just pull it off. Place the Copper Mesh under the target instead of paste. Assembling is the same. Screw down screws using the Cathode, checking Metalica status box. Continue with anode. You'll find this is much cleaner and faster, especially at the end. Place Copper Mesh back into the jar for the next user. Please record in the logbook if you used the Copper Mesh and if it worked for you. The deposition went fine, but the mesh is stuck to the gold target. There is no way to remove it. I have also noticed that the second gold target has also copper stuck to its base. I guess another user encountered the same problem as me. Isn't the copper mesh supposed to come off easily? -Gael On 8/17/07, Jeannie Perez wrote: > > We are running out of Silver paste.
