These probes have an additional 1cm thick spacer that keeps the probes way above the chuck unless the platen is lowered a LONG ways down. After contacting Micromanipulator on the issue, I've removed the additional spacers. This makes the new probes mechically identical to the new old ones and allows proper probing with the platen in the optimum height range. Message-ID: Micromanipulator users: It appears as if the HP 4075 LCR meter is not functioning. In particular, when pressing the "Test V" button, there is no evidence that is it producing the variable aplitude AC signal that is required to measure AC capacitance and/or impedance. I've not yet had the time to investigate this more fully to know whether this is a straightforward or more serious problem. Message-ID: While I don't know what has happened to "fix" it, the HP 4075 LCR meter now seems to be behaving properly and shows the voltage of the oscillator. I've got a suspicion that a "shorting" style BNC-to-TRIAX converted may have been the culprit, but can't prove that contention. John
