We just signed papers yesterday for day care for Harry (actually,
"baby farm" is probably a more appropriate term -- very nice
and clean, but clearly an industrial process -- SNF could learn
from this example, I think).  So I plan to
be back on 5/27, part-time for that week, and full-time starting
the following week.  I've missed you all and very much look
forward to seeing you again.

Hi Gladys:
 When I came in to use wbnonmetal early this morning, there were a lot of
brown spots around the sulfuric hot pots because users forgot or didn't
bother to clean up acid drips. In addition, someone had left an empty 3"
cassette in the left side dump rinser. In general, I have been noticing
that at nights, some users seem to have bad processing habits and utter
disregard for lab rules. Let alone causing inconvenience to other users,
some of their actions could potentially compromise cleanliness in the lab.
If I have to report this to someone, whom should I tell? I really don't
like to have to squeal on other labmembers, but sometimes it might be
better in the interest of the lab functioning.

Hi all --

Last year, several people attended a PTI course.  As you may (or may not
recall) we got a group discount by registering everyone at the same
time, for several different courses.  As it turned out, one of the
courses got cancelled, so we have an extra registration leftover which
we can still use.  Is anyone interested in any of the courses that PTI
is offering this year?  Their website is:

I believe the registration we have is worth $495, so it would be ideal
if someone is interested in a course that is offered at this price.  If
not, then let me know and we can possibly negotiate with them.
