EHT ON at 15 kV. Increasing the limits in operation of FE-GUN up to 15 kV for all Users. Higher acceleration voltages will be tested end of next week. All Users are requested to pre-bake all their previously coated samples on a hotplate above 90 degrees C before loading. Please ensure that no oils, greases, waxes, or other contaminants remain on your samples when you place them into the system. Beam diameter at 10 kV 5 mm WD = 1.48 nm and at 15 kV it is less than 1 nm. Thank you for your support! User restriction on acceleration volltage increased to 20 kV. Users wishing to work at higher acceleration voltages than 20 kV should see me so we can schedule a RAITH session together. Gun pressure base level is 5.2 E -010 Torr and system presuure base is 1.9 E - 006 Torr. Very stable gun emission and nominal beam currents levels have been observed. Users can now utilize any ACCELERATION Voltage from 0.3 to 30 KV. ALL SAMPLES GOING INTO THE SYSTEM MUST BE SOFT BAKED JUST BEFORE LOADING INTO RAITH.
