NO problems found!! Message-ID: <3EB6B35A.181FF04E@snf.stanford.edu> Hello RAITH Users: Based on reports over the weekend I expected to see the image acquisition card down for the count. User Bubble, reported a EHT Trip overnight SAT. The gun was able to recover after the arcing event and may have come back up on its own or on the next user's login. Gun appears normal with optimum emission current and brightness. EHT TRIPS: I continue to evaluate why some minority of users are tripping the gun off after initially ramping to 30 KeV acceleration voltage. I have not been able to reproduce this myself in testing. There have been two trips, one by LEO field service during their visit during the last month. Please report if you encounter this event during your session. IMAGE ACQ.: No problems found to the LEO or RAITH image acquisition boards, and completed several reiterations of testing the align write field procedure, and tested the ELPHY plus pattern generator with a grating pattern write. All subsystems have been fully tested this morning with NO PROBLEMS BEING FOUND ON THE SYSTEM. SYSTEM IS BACK UP IN GREEN LIGHT MODE. If you have any questions or don't understand a specific procedure see James Conway immediately. Thank you for your support! Message-ID: <3ED3E7D8.38224DA5@snf.stanford.edu> Raith fans, I found the gun running at 172uA. This is about twice what the Leo folks say is the good number. I've reduced it to 110uA, and it will drift down from there. I'll check it later today. Some brave (desperate) soul should do a setup as if they were going to write and see if the problem is still there. If it is, we should call the Raith/Leo service guys and have them have a look. I went through one "EHT set" at Berkeley, so I know that can be a problem, but it's very easy to change. We first need to know if it's dead or dying, though. I'm leaving the status in 'yellow' until I hear from you that we are either up or need to call service. Let me know! If we get the EHT set, I can have it installed in an hour or two. chw3 From cshen at briontech.com Wed May 28 11:49:33 2003 From: cshen at briontech.com (Chongfei Shen) Date: Wed, 28 May 2003 11:49:33 -0700 Subject: Raith res cancelled this afternoon Message-ID: From ajavey at stanford.edu Wed May 28 17:42:15 2003 From: ajavey at stanford.edu (Ali Javey) Date: Wed, 28 May 2003 17:42:15 -0700 (PDT) Subject: Reservation Removed 12 - 5 am Thursday Message-ID: It's all free after midnight...
