This is a great opportunity for you to get acquainted with the specific points to employ when working with our Ebeam or Optical Resist materials in order to obtain high quality thin film coatings over your wafers for Electron Beam, Scanning Probe (SPL), and Optical Lithography. In these applications accurate control of polymer thickness is important in order to obtain consistent high quality lithography results. We will be conducting this training on the Headway Spin Coater. Users attending this session will gain their qualification on this tool and also learn to perform thin film measurements on the Nanospec TFA measurement tool. This is a Hands-On Lab Session, please have several substrates clean and ready to coat on the Headway Coater. Class Schedule: 10:15 - 11:00 I will start with substrate cleans on WET BENCH NONMETAL performing Pirhana substrate cleans and HF etching of the intrinsic native oxide on Silicon wafers. All users must have their substrates cleaned and ready to go for spinning by the session time; either coming out of the 150 degree Singe oven, or if you are working on oxides or nitrides, coming out of the YES HMDS Prime oven directly. 11:00 - 12:00 We can apply what ever Ebeam or Optical Resist system you desire for your work. 12:00 - 12:30 Thin Film Measurements on the Nanospec Thin Film Analyzer All interested parties are welcome to attend this session. The robot arm failed to move out after I loaded my sample. I followed the poped-out instructions, but the tool turned into a critical state finally. I cannot reach James right now. Message-ID: <28d3ece90808281748s38efa6a4md7aa10e868125c23@mail.gmail.com> Hi, Today we had three times the problem with the loadlock arm not reaching the outer home position. The robot arm does get into the loadlock but it does not engage the sensor that allows for the loadlock gate valve to close. I was able to finish the loading/unloading procedure after loging in as Administrator and manually finishing the procedure. The error does not appear for every loading/unloading procedure. However, every time it happens it requires me (or other user with Administrator password) to come and recover the samples. If noone is around to recover the samples the turbo will keep pumping on the loadlock and it is possible to get a turbo failure, which is not easy to fix. For this reason, please don't use the Raith until tomorrow morning. In the morning I will call RaithUSA and try to solve the problem. I will send another update tomorrow morning. Raith is now back to users but please keep an eye on the tool. In case you encounter a robot arm error during the unloading procedure, please call one of the Raith champions (Andrei 650 714 7881, Yuan 387 0715 or Xinran 796 4743). If noone picks up the phone then follow the procedure that pops up on the Raith computer (to drive the robot arm OUT you will have to move the joystick forward after you pushed the T button - Raith will instruct you to do so). In case the robot arm does not reach the outer home posotion after this step, you will encounter a fatal error and a superuser will have to recover the samples for you. You should call again a Raith champion, send an email to the list that a fatal error has occured and leave a note on the Raith keyboard. Hopefully we will not have any more problems until James comes back!
