We have completed repairs to the XY Stage and finished testing this

Subject: Problem raith SNF 2011-04-14 23:23:17: PIezo hardware not connected

This is normally a IEEE buss communication issue and at most times 
shutting down and restarting the raith computer after gracefully exiting 
the RAITH application and the OS will resolve this problem.

I am testing the interfaces and stage leveling functionality today 
(third test since raith was here last week) and will see if I can 
reproduce and hopefully resolve this issue.

The load lock is not always pumping reliably.

Raith Notebook No. 4, FAQ No 1 outlines the steps to be taken in case problems arise. 

Only thing to add is that if the turbo does not seem to be turning ON, exit the application (Ctrl-Alt-Del), do a hardware reset and then restart the system. It seems to work fine then.

Since Wednesday evening there have been several reports to me by phone of
problems occurring that I believe are intermittent communication hangs on
the IEEE-488 buss or in communications between the RAITH and Column PC's.
 This normally occurs in the wee hours of the morning but I am now seeing
this with increasing frequency.

These include 'unable to pump load lock' type of messages during the load
lock procedures although the Load Lock has reached the 'vacuum ready' status
but errored in the Software.  (Always press 'RETRY... NEVER CANCEL!
and it might take several times to get through the process, but you should
be able to complete the LL procedure...)

Today I have encounted Piezo errors whereas we move to center the piezo
mounts and it shows in the software but in act the post DO NOT MOVE.
I performed a hardware reset by gracefully exiting both the RAITH150.exe and
the windows OS then SHUTDOWN THE RAITH PC COMPUTER.
 Then you can start up as you normally would in the windows OS and RAITH
application as normal.  Unfortunately this did not resolve the issues with
piezo leveling.

I am now collecting data and am in communications with RAITH troubleshooting
this issue.

Please call me if you encounter problems or have any concerns...
