It is hard to get the current to stabalize when the HV is turned on. it takes several attempts to get it to stabalize greater than 10 mA From charley at snf.stanford.edu Fri Jul 11 12:58:17 2003 From: charley at snf.stanford.edu (charley at snf.stanford.edu) Date: Jul 11, 2003 12:58:17 PM Subject: Problem sem4160 2003-07-07 21:21:55: Report Clear for sem4160 Message-ID: Flashing always cures emission instability Up for use From slee at snf.stanford.edu Mon Jul 28 06:38:48 2003 From: slee at snf.stanford.edu (slee at snf.stanford.edu) Date: Jul 28, 2003 6:38:48 PM Subject: Problem sem4160 2003-07-28 18:38:39: Could not trun on the gun Message-ID: I could not turn on the gun (the emission current). Try many times did not work. Flashed several times, still did not work. Gun shuts off before the emission current reaches 10uA. Found condenser set to 10, also wrong. If you lower the emission, what's the point of opening the condenser. DO NOT change emission. This is 10uA and when set accordingly, I had no trouble running for an hour. No problems. Up for use. Use about 12 for condenser. See me if you have trouble, before changing the settings, please!
