I would appreciate help from any user or staff. I am not able to open the "SEC valve". My wafer is stuck inside. I have had this problem before and Paul helped me before, but I do not remember exactly. It seems some vaccum interlock issue. If you happen to resolve the issue please put my wafer in the wafer cassette kept next to the machine. thanks -gaurav -- Gaurav Thareja Graduate Student Solid State Electronics Electrical Engineering Stanford University 650-704-1029 (cell) 650-497-3556 (home) "life is beautiful" From gthareja at stanford.edu Mon Mar 5 23:28:39 2007 From: gthareja at stanford.edu (Gaurav Thareja) Date: Mon, 5 Mar 2007 23:28:39 -0800 Subject: issue resolved. It will take approximately one week to install and test. This will allow capture of publication worthy images that many of you have been requesting for some time now. Thanks for your cooperation in advance. ted From tberg at stanford.edu Mon Mar 19 11:19:56 2007 From: tberg at stanford.edu (Ted Berg) Date: Mon, 19 Mar 2007 11:19:56 -0700 Subject: Image capture for 4160 SEM Message-ID: <45FED44C.8040303@stanford.edu> Hello all , We will be adding the image capture upgrade to the 4160 Beginning thei Wed Mar21 at 10:00 am it should only take about a day so please plan accordingly. The install was relatively painless and the images so far look quite good. The computer (thanks Mary) is on the small table near the load chamber. let us know if this is too awkward. The images are calibrated . Hopefully this will prove to be a valuable tool. This will help many labmembers in terms of publication quality SEM pictures. However, as Ted mentioned in the email below, it is really awkward to run to the small table with the PC to capture. Especially, one can not see the captured image during adjusting the brightness and contrast level. My suggestion would be to put the PC on top of the SEM control part. There is enough space and not many keyboard inputs are required (filenames) when using it. The mouse could be moved down next to the SEM joystick.
