From eenriquez at snf.stanford.edu Fri Aug 4 14:23:50 2006 From: eenriquez at snf.stanford.edu (Elmer Enriquez) Date: Fri, 04 Aug 2006 14:23:50 -0700 Subject: STSetcher update Message-ID: <44D3BAE6.1020005@snf.stanford.edu> Installed a brand new loadlock controller with new EPROM. The controller is not even powering up now. The new controller is behaving like the other two controllers. Checked voltages inside the controller. The +5V and +/- 15 V checked OK. The 24 V is a little low at 23.05 V but I think its OK also. Verified that jumper settings were the same as the original controller. Spoke to Graeme Wheeler (STS director of US op) about field service. He said that they should have somebody available early next week. So far, he has not he has not found anything significant. We have replaced a power supply module, a motor driver IC , a set of backup batteries and new load eproms for the lock controller. The current plan is to obtain a complete set of schematics from the UK and continue to troubleshoot. We should have the schematics by tomorrow. We also sent one of the loadlock controller back to the UK for failure analysis. Sorry that I can't even give an estimated up time since we have not yet determined the cause of the problem.
