Hi All,

I have a half dozen wafers that I am working on for a review deadline that
is approaching fast.  Each wafer takes about 4 hours of processing time, and
with the high demand on the STS lately (make that always) I'm running
against the clock.  If anyone has (or ends up with) any reservation in the
next couple weeks that they aren't prepared for, might not need so
urgently,  or don't expect to use the full time of I'd appreciate hearing
from you!  Even 30 minutes can help, it all adds up.  I'll forever be your
best friend.

Recently I've seen a few users reserve 4 hour slots and then drop the
reservation to 2 or 3 hours partway through so that a friend can grab the
next 4 hour slot, then repeating the process. This abuse of the system locks
out other users who have deadlines just like you. If you're doing this,
please be considerate of your labmates.

Folks,

As you have noticed, the reservations for the tool are crazy! 

In an effort to equalize the ability to get a reservation I have taken 
the 3:00-7:00 am or 2:00-6:00 am from Tue 25 Nov until the shutdown on 
17 Dec.  I intend to give this time away.  I picked this time slot 
because, in looking at history in coral, it is the time most often left 
idle.

By the way, this is nothing new.  When machine time has been difficult 
to get I have resorted to doing this in the past.  I would rather not as 
administering this kind of system is time consuming and I much prefer a 
more laissez faire approach.  But too many folks have asked me for 
stsetch time in the past couple of days.

If you want to use this time please contact me.  The rules are as follows;

1) First come, first served.
2) One four hour slot per request.
3) You must use the time yourself.  If you can't use it, please return 
it to me to give to the next person.
4) I will put the reservation in your name on coral and will contact you 
by email to let you know you have it.

Please let's remember that the etcher is a limited resource and everyone 
needs time on the tool.

Just wanted to let everyone know that there is a piece of a wafer on the chamber platen, so the tool is currently unusable.  I reported the problem on Coral but did not shut it down just in case there are any technicians available to remove the piece before Monday.

stsetch time I snagged.  So I am releasing the time slots that people
