Power was on 100! Then indicated temp quickly jumped to 720C in less than a minute (so the 400C was not a real reading). It settled down to 700C across the tube so I used it. Users beware! Am hearing reports that this was seen previously (but possibly not reported). At that time I thought I had mis-input the time but now it looks like it might really have been a faulty T/C.
