Realigning the Y-offset did not work. Resetting the system, however, seems to have worked. This is just a warning that this weird glitch happend -- and if it happens again, may cut in the wrong location. Please, please let us know if you see any more weird stuff like this again. I was just training today and the Y-offset adjustment didn't seem... right... It worked great the second time around, but in light of Pradeep's problem yesterday, I'm a little concerned. I don't have time to check it out today, but will do so tomorrow. Please be aware that there might be a problem and try doing a few cuts on test wafers before committing your device wafers. Let me know if you have any problems (and please provide as much detail as you can.) Thanks, Mary From mtang at snf.stanford.edu Mon Nov 15 07:32:02 2004 From: mtang at snf.stanford.edu (mtang at snf.stanford.edu) Date: Mon, 15 Nov 2004 07:32:02 -0800 Subject: Problem wafersaw SNF 2004-11-15 07:32:01: Cut depth Message-ID: Jun reported that the cut depth appears to decrease across the wafer, which suggests that the chuck may not be level. The system also locked up on him upon unload, requiring him to have to remove the wafer with the vacuum on, which led to breaking the wafer. If the system locks up, please reset (or call a staff member to reset). If your wafer is on it, turn off the vacuum to unload. There will still be residual vacuum -- so if your wafer still does not remove easily, then call a staff member. I'll see about getting the system checked out. Moving it towards the wafer center and then hitting ALIGN again just caused a repeat. Hitting reset did not change anything. The saw still ALIGNs in Index I. Recommended you unload and manually rotate.
