From booth at snf.stanford.edu Fri Nov 3 15:00:53 2000 From: booth at snf.stanford.edu (Len Booth) Date: Fri, 03 Nov 2000 15:00:53 -0800 Subject: Micrometer Message-ID: <3A0343A5.342C0BCB@snf.stanford.edu> Wafersaw users - The micrometer that is kept at the saw has disappeared. It's a 0 - 1" capacity, usually stored in a wooden box. It is used for measuring the thickness of samples before mounting on the wafersaw chuck. If anyone knows where it is, please bring it back to the saw. It seems to have been removed in the last week or so. If you know who might have it, please let me know. thank you for your help, Len From mtang at snf.stanford.edu Thu Nov 30 13:51:30 2000 From: mtang at snf.stanford.edu (Mary Tang) Date: Thu, 30 Nov 2000 13:51:30 -0800 Subject: Update... Message-ID: <3A26CBE2.6B883E0C@snf.stanford.edu> Greetings Wafersaw users -- Just wanted to update you on some new developments... First, I'm now officially the training contact person for the wafersaw -- please direct any training inquiries my way. Second, if you haven't used the wafersaw in a while, you may not be familiar with the new operating instructions that Len has written up. These instructions are excellent -- they're so detailed that you can follow them to the letter, and get exactly the cuts you want. There's even really useful troubleshooting info there. Please, please, please read these carefully before using the system. Third, there's a new digital caliper at the wafersaw (for those of us who have difficulty converting between metric and English or can't figure out how to read the darned mechanical one). Please, please do not remove this from the wafersaw room. Mary -- Mary X.
