Update on spindle problem

The wafersaw will down until Jan 3, 2007.  The spindle assembly will 
have to be replaced.  Parts and field service will not be available 
until 12/18.  As a reminder, the spindle MUST not be touched unless the 
air to the system is ON.  The spindle shaft and motor has very close 
tolerances, the high pressure air serves as an air bearing to prevent 
parts from making contact.  So, when shutting down the system, shutting 
off the air needs to be the very, very  LAST step.
