From amol at stanford.edu Fri Sep 8 12:50:32 2000 From: amol at stanford.edu (Amol Ramesh Joshi) Date: Fri, 8 Sep 2000 12:50:32 -0700 (PDT) Subject: H2SO4 pots on wbnonmetal Message-ID: Hi, I found an anonymous note on wbnonmetal stating that there is broken thermometer glass in H2SO4. The note does not say whether it is Left or Right H2SO4 pot. I saw broken wafer and glass in left pot. I also saw some white stuff floating in right pot. There were no problems reported on Coral for wbnonmetal! Jim, is there a chance of contamination if thermometer glass is broken? Thanks, - Amol From mcvittie at cis.Stanford.EDU Fri Sep 8 12:49:42 2000 From: mcvittie at cis.Stanford.EDU (Jim McVittie) Date: Fri, 8 Sep 2000 12:49:42 -0700 (PDT) Subject: H2SO4 pots on wbnonmetal In-Reply-To: Message-ID: Amol, This is the first I heard about this contamination problem. If we can not find which hot pot is contaminated, they both have to be shut down immediately for cleaning. Does anyone know who may have been using a thermometer in any of the hot pots?
