From latta at snf.stanford.edu Wed May 14 09:25:23 2003 From: latta at snf.stanford.edu (Nancy Latta) Date: Wed, 14 May 2003 09:25:23 -0700 Subject: Empty cassettes Message-ID: <3EC26DF3.3030405@snf.stanford.edu> Folks, We've had a number of comments from labmembers using wbnonmetal about empty cassettes being 1) left out of the boxes, 2) in a box but wet and 3) left in the dumprinser. Here's the policy; Dry cassettes should be stored in clean appropriate boxes. We realize that there may be times where drying wafers with an airgun instead of the dumprinser is desirable. Also there are times when using an empty cassette makes the most sense. This is fine, but please make sure that you return the cassettes dried back inot the boxes. This is a message to the next user that the cassete is safe to use. On a few occasions the fab ran out of H2O2 over the weekend. As we approach a three day weekend (with most staff members out of town), please help to conserve chemicals by observing the bath changeout schedules as listed in the logbooks. Due to operating permit restrictions, I can not stock more chemicals outside of the passthru. Always check for an adequate volume of replacement chemicals prior to draining the pots. In addition, we are down to three bottles of 20:1 BOE this weekend. The next shipment is due in Tuesday. Thanks for help and a good, long weekend, Dick From mtang at snf.stanford.edu Tue May 27 09:57:09 2003 From: mtang at snf.stanford.edu (Mary Tang) Date: Tue, 27 May 2003 09:57:09 -0700 Subject: Clean up! Message-ID: <3ED398E4.A61545F4@snf.stanford.edu> wbnonmetal-ers: A complaint was made (see below) about the state of wbnonmetal. Please, please clean up after yourselves! Please, please do not make us have to police this station! Please also understand that we have to follow up these complaints with the people who appear on the equipment history -- that whoever actually uses it, it is ultimately the responsibility of the person who enables the bench to make sure it is clean. Yes, I'm back (and keen to get working!) Mary *********************** Hi Gladys: When I came in to use wbnonmetal early this morning, there were a lot of brown spots around the sulfuric hot pots because users forgot or didn't bother to clean up acid drips. In addition, someone had left an empty 3" cassette in the left side dump rinser. In general, I have been noticing that at nights, some users seem to have bad processing habits and utter disregard for lab rules. Let alone causing inconvenience to other users, some of their actions could potentially compromise cleanliness in the lab.... ************************ -- Mary X.
