From beckwith at cis.stanford.edu Thu May 1 10:47:48 2003 From: beckwith at cis.stanford.edu (Sharleen Beckwith) Date: Thu, 1 May 2003 10:47:48 -0700 Subject: Wet Bench Use Poll In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: Nancy: I have one other comment: I would like to see a "clean" hot pot available for Ammonium Hydroxide at one of the benches. We are doing some fusion bonding and according to the literature one of the clean steps needs to be Ammonium Hydroxide:Hydrogen Peroxide:water (1:1:5). I sent Bipin off to get approval for us to do this in the wbdiff bench after hours since there was such a hullabaloo when we did this in the silicide bench last time. Sharleen -- "When war, like the one now in Iraq, threatens the fate of humanity, it is even more urgent for us to proclaim, with a firm and decisive voice, that only peace is the way of building a more just and caring society. Violence and weapons can never resolve the problems of man." Pope John Paul II, commenting on the U. S. invasion of Iraq, March 2003 From rcrane at snf.stanford.edu Fri May 23 16:06:34 2003 From: rcrane at snf.stanford.edu (Dick Crane) Date: Fri, 23 May 2003 16:06:34 -0700 Subject: Weekend chemical use rate critical Message-ID: <3ECEA979.BC68586F@snf.stanford.edu> Wet bench users, In the last few weeks, the fab has experienced a higher than normal usage of H2O2, HCl and Sulfuric. On a few occasions the fab ran out of H2O2 over the weekend. As we approach a three day weekend (with most staff members out of town), please help to conserve chemicals by observing the bath changeout schedules as listed in the logbooks. Due to operating permit restrictions, I can not stock more chemicals outside of the passthru. Always check for an adequate volume of replacement chemicals prior to draining the pots. In addition, we are down to three bottles of 20:1 BOE this weekend. The next shipment is due in Tuesday. Thanks for help and a good, long weekend, Dick
