The system seems to loose the USB connections on the top of the frame, at the back right. If the system is not responding, you can unplug these connections for a few seconds then plug them back in. I've had to do this a time or two before the keyboard and mouse start to respond. As for shutting down the computer, there is nothing special required. It looks like the only way is to manually enter such values for all given 670 wavelengths. Or measure the material on the Woollam and save a .mat file.
