From edmyers at stanford.edu Wed Jun 24 08:25:05 2009 From: edmyers at stanford.edu (Ed Myers) Date: Wed, 24 Jun 2009 08:25:05 -0700 Subject: Woollam Mouse Problems Message-ID: <6.2.5.6.2.20090624081836.033ca8d8@stanford.edu> All, I am very aware of the mouse problems we are seeing on the Woollam. I've contacted the company and asked for help many weeks ago. They indicated this problem had not been reported by their installed user community. They did ask about the specifics of when the problem occurred. I told them it appeared random (the most difficult problem to solve), as it happens to me often. The only suggestion they had regarded the proper use of the USB memory sticks. Since the mouse and keyboard are connected through the USB ports, Wollam was wondering if improper mounting and removal of the memory devices are related to our problems. I am open to any suggestions and thoughts, but right now we don't have a resolution to our problems. With the many different lab members using the equipment we have found SNF to be a good software testing organization. Unfortunately we often find software weakness which has not been observed in the field after years of usage. Ed
